% in Motion
University project (MA-level) – 5 weeks, individual project – 2024
Scope: Help young teenagers learn percent more easily through tactile controls and real-time visual representation.
This is a set of proposed learning tools. They are based on the learning principles of active learning, instant feedback, multi-sensorial and spatial learning and learning by doing. The idea of the project was to try to design learning tools that teach mathematical concepts in a new way. The hope is that an alternative learning method can help students who struggle to grasp the concepts more easily. As it was a short project, I had to settle for a single topic, and percent seemed like the most viable option after talking to different teachers. Each concept is meant to serve a direct purpose and cater to a specific stage of the learning process.
